Celebrating 10 Years of Podcasting with a Party – the Podcast Party!

As the 1st of May approaches, One on One Productions celebrates its 19th anniversary, while their brainchild CliffCentral commemorates its 10-year milestone celebrating with a party – the Podcast Party.

Over the past decade, CliffCentral became known for providing a platform for diverse voices and perspectives. It has been a journey of exploration and innovation. Along the way, the team has learned invaluable lessons – lessons that have shaped the vision with Gareth Cliff starting an expanded platform “The Real Network”, and the launch of a new content hub – “Podcast Party”.

Podcast Party is more than just a celebration; it’s a declaration of intent – an intent to provide people with information that’s not just informative but also intelligent and inspiring. As South Africa heads towards the pivotal 2024 Election, Podcast Party’s aim is to harness the power of conversations to not only educate people but to inspire positive action.

After ten years of pioneering podcasting and a culmination of years of learning and refining, Podcast Party represents the essence of what CliffCentral has stood for – a more independent media landscape that empowers individuals to engage critically with the world around them.

With a focus on the upcoming elections, attention has been given to voter education with party leaders, including all the youth leaders, unpacking their manifestos to enable voters to make more informed decisions at the polls. A flagship show “Democracy Unplugged” serves as a platform for examining the complexities of governance, politics, and societal structures hosted by seasoned commentators including the likes of Sizwe Mpofu Walsh, Penuel the Black Pen, Mighti Jamie, JJ Tabane, Phumlani Majozi, Kanthan Pillay, Jonathan Witt and renowned international commentator Douglas Murray.

Beyond local thought leaders, “OneonOne with Gareth Cliff” aims to introduce global thought leaders to South African audiences, debuting with international best-selling author and commentator Douglas Murray, UK rapper and podcaster Zuby, followed by American podcaster and maths genius Eric Weinstein, with more big names in the pipeline.
